NWTH Networking and Site Visit Events:
Sunday, September 20
11am-12pm optional Google Hangout
10-11am Networking Meeting with Guest Speaker
We invite you to join our upcoming quarterly meeting September 20th. During this online event, we will be discussing racial equity within the context of the HTR program and professional community. The goal of the meeting is to begin creating an anti-racist operational framework for NWTH and to identify actions that will promote equity within the HTR curriculum. We are honored to host guest speaker Lisa Ann Douglass, who completed the HTR program at PCC in 2019 and works as a garden assistant and educator at Greenspace Garden and Nursery in Wildwood, MO.
Following the meeting, participants are invited to join an informal Google Hangout, where we can chat and catch up in a casual setting.
Links to the ZOOM meeting and Google Hangout will be sent prior to the meeting.

NWTH was graciously hosted by the coordinator of the Growing Minds Garden at the Serendipity Center in SE Portland, Nicolas Townsend, on 9/14/19. We had an amazing time hearing about their school and garden program, how they engage students in growing and cooking food, and tasting Purple Basil, Borage, Lamb's Quarters, SunGold Tomatoes, and French Sorrel.
